JAMIL AND NYANGA JAWARD FOUNDATION EXPANDS OUTREACH TO VULNERABLE FREETOWN COMMUNITIES

The Jamil and Nyanga Jaward Foundation (JNJF), known for its dedication to supporting impoverished women and children, has recently expanded its humanitarian outreach to include the communities of Hook Street, Upper Mental Kissy, and Lower Mental Kissy in Freetown. This strategic expansion aims to create widow support groups in each of these areas, allowing the Foundation to better understand and address the primary challenges faced by these vulnerable populations.

These newly included communities are among the most impoverished in Freetown, with a significant portion of their residents being women and children living in dire poverty. By establishing widow support groups, JNJF hopes to provide adequate and sustainable assistance tailored to the specific needs of these widows, fostering economic development and educational opportunities.

Since its inception, JNJF has been committed to following Christ's mission by aiding those in need. The Foundation has already made significant strides in its mission, having supported over 1,000 underprivileged students with educational materials and vocational training, increased incomes for more than 200 widows through various economic initiatives, introduced solar electricity to a rural village, improved health services for widows, increased access to clean water for widows, and regularly engaged in community moral building exercises.

These expansions into Hook Street, Upper Mental Kissy, and Lower Mental Kissy can be seen as a sign of hope for its residents and an opportunity for JNJF to expand its unwavering commitment to making a substantial difference in the lives of the less privileged. By focusing on these communities, the Foundation aims to uplift some of the most vulnerable groups in Sierra Leone, providing them with the tools and opportunities they need for a brighter future.

Join the Jamil and Nyanga Jaward Foundation as they continue their mission to empower and support impoverished women, widows, and children, creating lasting change in some of Sierra Leone’s most vulnerable communities.
