JNJF'S PROGRAMS MANAGER VISITS CONGO TOWN TO ASSESS VSLA PROGRESS


The programs manager of the Jamil and Nyanga Jaward Foundation, Alusine Sheriff visited the widows of Congo Town to assess the progress of the Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) program in the community. This visit aimed to evaluate the success of the initiative and address the challenges faced by the participants, reinforcing the foundation's commitment to empowering vulnerable women.

During his visit, Mr. Sheriff observed the entire VSLA meeting, paying close attention to how the widows diligently adhered to the procedures of the program. He praised their dedication and meticulousness, commending them for their resilience and hard work. "The widows are very remarkable in carrying out the procedures," Mr. Sheriff noted, emphasizing the importance of their commitment to the program's success.

Mr. Sheriff took the opportunity to encourage the women to continue their efforts in empowering themselves.
